St. Ignace woman arrested for felony drug offense after traffic stop

Police say driver was found to be in possession of methamphetamine

Many Craven was arrested following a traffic stop and charged with possession of methamphetamine, outstanding warrants, and driving without a valid driver’s license, Michigan State Police said.

 A St. Ignace woman has been arrested for possession of methamphetamine, outstanding warrants, and driving without a valid driver’s license.

On Jan. 15 at approximately 11:41 p.m., troopers from the St. Ignace Post made a traffic stop of a vehicle for an equipment violation on N. State Street near Keightley Street in St. Ignace.

The troopers identified the driver as 38-year-old Mandy Craven from St. Ignace. Craven was found not to have a valid driver’s license and had outstanding warrants for her arrest. After further investigation, Craven was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine which is a felony offense.

Craven was arrested and was lodged in the Mackinac County Jail. Craven has been arraigned in the 92nd District Court in St. Ignace. Her bond was set at $1,000. She is next due in court on 1/21/25. She is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
