This year, the institution celebrates a significant milestone with the 20th anniversary of its esteemed Center, reflecting on its profound impact and dedication to fostering artistic innovation.

Established in 2005, the LSSU Arts Center was conceived not just as a venue, but as a dynamic hub for creativity, education, and cultural exchange.

Over the past two decades, it has grown into a vital cultural landmark, offering a diverse array of programs and events that inspire, entertain, and educate audiences of all ages.

The Arts Center's journey is punctuated by memorable events that have left indelible marks on both local audiences and the broader cultural landscape.

From the orchestral majesty of the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra in 2023 to the vibrant Drag Show featuring "Ru Paul's Drag Race" contestants like Lady Camden, Bosco, and Denali, the Arts Center has continued to bring a vast array of artistic expression to the community. Immersive cultural experiences such as the Tibetan Monks' showcase have added depth and spiritual resonance to its repertoire. Notable performances by acclaimed figures like actor-singer Jeff Daniels in 2010 and pianist, Andreas Klein in 2023 have graced its stages, showcasing top-tier talent.

  • September 6, 2024: Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Band - A homage to the legendary Canadian singer-songwriter.
  • October 4-6, 11-13, 2024: Miracle - Film screening.
  • October 17, 2024: Battle of the Bands - An exciting showcase of local musical talent.
  • October 18, 2024: Great Lake State Weekend Celebration - A special 20th Anniversary Reception as part of the Great Lake State Weekend festivities, inviting alumni, supporters, and the community to reflect on the Arts Center's journey and impact.
  • October 25-27, 2024: The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Film screening.
  • November 13-16, 2024: Fall Play “Rabbit Hole” - A poignant theatrical production exploring themes of loss and healing.
  • November 22, 2024: Double Edge - A theatrical performance offering a unique artistic experience.
  • November 24, 2024: LSSU Music Concert - A musical celebration featuring talented performers.
  • November 30, 2024: The Founding “Celtic Christmas” - A festive concert to ring in the holiday season.
  • December 13-15, 2024: A Muppets Christmas Carol - Film screening.
