Martin Alex Salo, age 65, of Moran, Michigan, died on November 18, 2024. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 8, 1959, to Victor Leonard and Jean Ann (Zech) Salo.
Martin grew up in Detroit and after graduating high school he immediately went into the tool and die trade in the 1970’s and continued until he retired in 2014.
Martin was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering around on cars with his son. His 1963 Ford Rancho and 1984 Ford Blazer were his prized possessions. He loved taking pictures and was an early bird and was always at work by 6:00 am.
Martin is survived by his son, Neal (Kristen) Salo; and grandson, Caleb Salo.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Jean; and brother, Timothy Salo.
Per Martin’s wishes, no services are planned.
