David Mark Coleiro Sr., age 64, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died at Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie. He was born in Santa Maria, California, to John and Robin (Crosby) Coleiro.
David grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was the captain of the Eldorado High School football team. A few years after high school he moved to Michigan to join his parents. He had a sports card shop downtown in Sault Ste. Marie, doing what he was passionate about. He worked at Glens Market for many years before he became disabled. David was also known for being a youth soccer coach for a few years. He was a loving, kind, good natured, hardworking man who loved his wife, mother, children and grandson, Elijah.
David was a member of the E Free Church of Sault Ste. Marie.
David loved fishing and collecting sports memorabilia, coaching his son in soccer, and he loved surfing when he lived in California.
David is survived by his wife, Doiane Coleiro; daughter, Kathleen (Todd) Woolford of Morrice, Michigan; son, David (Alexa) Coleiro Jr. of Dewitt, Michigan; grandson, Elijah Woolford; and mother, Robin Coleiro.
David was preceded in death by his father, John Coleiro.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
