Held now to Feb. 1, the I-500 is a unique event that highlights excellence and endurance in the world of racing. Many of the ways in which MyMichigan is prepared is its active participation in the event’s emergency preparedness; providing one EMS side by side team and two Advanced Life Support ambulances at the racetrack; supporting our local Sault Fire/EMS; ensuring adequate community coverage for race and 911 calls; providing training on new helmet removal devices; providing trauma team availability, Emergency Department and operating room coverage, offering blood bank resources and more.
