NEGAUNEE – Launch into winter action by attending the longest-running, consecutive ski jumping tournament in the country! Ishpeming Ski Club Ski Jumping Tournament, held at the UP Nordic Ski Complex, Jan. 17 to 19, 2025.

Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 - 137th Annual Ishpeming Ski Club Ski Jumping Tournament/USA Nordic U.S. Cup: The Tournament weekend kicks off on Friday evening with the 137th Annual Ishpeming Ski Club Ski Jumping Tournament/USA Nordic U.S. Cup event on famous Suicide Hill. Watch elite U.S. ski jumpers soar high through the air as you stand by the huge bonfire, food trucks and concessions. The first round of ski jumping begins at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025 - Paul Bietila Memorial Ski Jumping Tournament: As evening rolls around, get ready for a second night of big-hill ski jumping as skiers compete in the Ishpeming Ski Club, Paul Bietila Memorial Ski Jumping Tournament. The skiers will be excited to have a second chance to show the crowd how far they can fly. The evenings competition will end with an exciting Target Jump where the athletes will compete for distance and accuracy! Watch the show by the bonfire, food trucks, and concessions. And don’t miss the fireworks on Saturday evening at the conclusion of the ski jumping competition! The first round of ski jumping begins at 6 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025 - Central Division, Junior Ski Jumping Tournament: On Sunday the ISC will be hosting their junior ski jumping tournament where young skiers from throughout the Central Division will compete to see who will stand on top of the podium. This year’s junior tournament is a Junior National Qualifier (JNQ) and you can bet that these young skiers will be flying far in order to see who will qualify to attend the USA Ski Jumping, Junior Championships in Alaska this year. The junior tournament will begin at 11 a.m.

Purchase a Booster Button or online ticket to gain entrance for the entire weekend tournament. Online ticket purchases do not receive a physical button.

Parking passes and shuttle service:

  • Option 1: Take a Checker/ISC Shuttle and avoid parking hassles and fees. Park in a convenient, nearby designated Park & Ride shuttle lot, and relax.
  • Option 2: Park your vehicle at the UPNSC. $10 Parking Pass per vehicle each night for approximately 225 vehicles each night at the U.P. Nordic Ski Complex.

Gate opens at 4:00pm Friday. Car Pool with friends!

There will be no parking permitted along county road and cliffs drive. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. No exceptions.

The Tournament weekend will be complete with tailgating, bonfires, food trucks, fireworks and great views of the action on Suicide Hill. There will also be an exciting Nordic combined cross country ski race on the Ishpeming Ski Club, Norman Juhola Trail System during the weekend competition. The 138th Annual Ski Jumping Tournament is on a weekend date once again and it’s going to be even bigger and better than last year! So come watch a full weekend of ski jumping at the U.P. Nordic Ski Complex. It’s a winter event you will not want to miss! No other organization puts on a better ski jumping tournament than the Ishpeming Ski Club, and we’ve have been doing it since 1887! It’s the original extreme sport that soars higher than the tallest mine rock piles in the Marquette Iron Range.
