A Chicago man is dead after the ATV he was driving overturned in Schoolcraft County.
Emergency crews were called to Hemlock Trail in Thompson Township at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday.
Michigan State Police say the driver lost control, throwing off both the driver and a passenger, before the 4-wheeler rolled over onto the driver.
Life saving measures were performed at the scene and the man was taken to Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital where the 33-year-old was pronounced dead.
The passenger, the 11-year-old niece of the driver, has minor injuries.
Neither was wearing a helmet.
Police are still investigating the incident.
