On Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at approximately 8 p.m. troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post were dispatched to a report of an alleged domestic assault at a residence on Monaghan Point Road in Alpena Township. Both parties and a witness were interviewed at the scene. The victim claimed 50-year-old Matthew Scott Delisle from Alpena choked her and then picked her up by the hair and drug her around the home. A witness corroborated the victim’s account of the incident. Delisle was arrested and lodged in the Alpena County Jail. The victim refused medical treatment.
Delisle was arraigned in the 88th District Court in Alpena County on one count assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and one count domestic violence. His bond was set at $25,000.
