In October 2024 the Michigan State Police (MSP) Traverse City Post was asked to investigate an alleged domestic assault that took place in August 2024 at the Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds in Blair Township.
The suspect, 34-year-old Dillon Haywood Rosa from Beulah, allegedly had an argument with a family member, grabbed them by the wrist and pushed them down into a chair. The parties involved and witnesses were interviewed. A report was turned over to the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor’s Office. An arrest warrant was authorized on Jan. 7. Troopers notified Rosa of the warrant, and he turned himself in that day at the Grand Traverse County Jail.
Rosa was arraigned this morning in the 86th District Court in Grand Traverse County on one count child abuse fourth degree, and one count domestic violence. His next scheduled court appearance is on Feb. 13.
