Suzanne Bernice (Jablonski) Smith, age 70, of Cedarville, Michigan, died on May 9, 2024, at Medilodge of Sault Ste. Marie. She was born on June 26, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, to Stanislaus and Emma (Ochenas) Jablonski.
Suzanne grew up in Dearborn, Michigan, and graduated from Fordson High School with the Class of 1971. She met Thomas William Smith while working at Standard Paint Company in Detroit in 1972. They married on June 16, 1973, at the Dearborn City Hall in Dearborn.
Suzanne worked several jobs throughout her life, such as a phone operator in Livonia, Michigan, at Acme Carton Company in Dearborn and then 911 Dispatcher for Dearborn Police Department for 9 years, which was her true passion. Suzanne and Thomas moved to the Upper Peninsula and settled in Cedarville in 1996. She then started working for Kewadin Casino in Hessel, Michigan, then First National Bank of St. Ignace in Cedarville, where she retired in 2006.
Suzanne enjoyed taking her family on vacations and trips to the Upper Peninsula. She loved cooking big meals, providing for her family, being a mother and grandmother and spending time with her husband.
Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Rachael (Frank) Molino of San Antonio, Texas; son, Ryan (Diana) Smith of Dearborn, Michigan; grandchildren, Brittany, Sophie, Josie, Vivian, and Olivia; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Thomas, and Theadora; and sister-in-law, Mary Smith.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents, Stanislaus and Emma; sister-in-law, Gloria (George) Bare; and brother-in-law, Leslie Smith.
Per Suzanne’s wishes no services are being held at this time.
