Thomas Warren Anderson, age 77, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died at MyMichigan Sault on September 2, 2024. He was born on January 10, 1947, in Escanaba, Michigan, to Thomas Ferris and Esther Elizabeth (Peterson) Anderson.
Thomas grew up in Cornell, Michigan, and after graduating from Escanaba High School in 1965 he joined the United States Army National Guard for six years. He worked at NCR for six years and he met Susan Carlson while fixing the cash register. They were married in 1969, and they moved to Sault Ste. Marie. While busy raising a family, he started working for Cloverland Electric in 1971. After 37 years of doing tech support, administration and several other jobs, he retired in 2008 from Cloverland Electric.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Wendy (Norm Hering) Perdue of Milwaukee, Wisconsin , Carl (Joy) Anderson of Sault Ste. Marie, Paul (Erica) Anderson of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren, Melissa Perdue, Ethan (Krystal) Anderson, Shon’tora (Zach Mullis) Anderson, Ray’shon (Liz) Anderson, Ray’nell (Jessica Parmer) Anderson, Walter Anderson, Christopher Anderson, David Anderson and Justin Anderson; great-grandchildren, Chase, Jazmyne, Bryce, Aaliyah, Jaylen and Lillianna; and siblings, Margaret “Peg” Turner of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Ruth South of Muncie, Indiana, Richard Anderson of Appleton, Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Shirley Anderson of Appleton.
Thomas was preceded in death by grandson, Thomas Perdue; granddaughter, Whitney-Jo Anderson; parents, Thomas and Esther Anderson, brother, David Anderson, and brothers-in-law, Bill Turner and Bob South.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4585 E 15 Mile Rd. Barbeau, MI 49710, at 1:00 PM.
