Beverly Jean Ludwig, age 91, died on October 13, 2024, at the Hospice House of the EUP in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was born on August 10, 1933, in Sault Ste. Marie to Fred and Evelyn (Kronquist) MacDonald.
Jean grew up in Sault Ste. Marie. She met Keith Ludwig, and the pair married on January 24, 1953. They were married for sixty-five amazing years. They loved to attend the military dances held at the local United Service Organizations (USO). Jean prided herself on her domestic abilities and taking care of her two boys. She really enjoyed attending their baseball games. In short, she did everything for her family to make it a great home and upbringing.
Jean was a member of the Faith Lutheran church. She enjoyed singing in the choir and dancing.
Jean is survived by her sons, Jeff (Jeannie) Ludwig of Orange, California, and Fred Ludwig of Newport Beach, California; grandchildren, Jessica Ludwig, Julia Ludwig and Brett Ludwig; and sister-in-law, Stella MacDonald of Sault Ste. Marie.
Jean was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Keith; brother, Willard MacDonald; and sister, Phyllis (Russ) MacDonald-Bishop.
Jean’s final resting place will be Oaklawn Chapel Garden, 15264 S M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life gathering in July of 2025.
