Darrel Wayne Huffman, age 63, of Hessel, Michigan, died on November 4, 2024 at his home. He was born in St. Ignace, Michigan, on March 18, 1961, to Donald Charles and Evelyn Marie (Dupon) Huffman.
Darrel grew up in Hessel and attended Hessel schools. Darrel joined the United States Army in 1980, he served for six months and then returned home. After traveling to Texas and New Jersey doing logging and construction for a few years, he met Susan, and they married in St. Ignace on October 13, 2014. He returned to Hessel in 2017 where he continued doing construction.
Darrel loved playing on the computer and four wheeling but most of all he was a homebody with his dog “Little Dog”.
Darrel is survived by his son, Randy (Kristy) Thompson of Allegan, Michigan; and his granddaughter, Samantha Schumann Thompson.
Darrel is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Huffman Sr. and Evelyn Davis; sister, Karen Huffman; and brothers, Donald (Ducky) Huffman Jr. and Ronald Huffman.
Darrel’s final resting place will be in Fenlon Cemetery in Clark Township.
