Beatrice “Bea” Rhoda Volrath, age 85, died on February 8, 2025, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was born on December 22, 1939, in Dearborn, Michigan, to Carroll and Esther (Gocha) Fike.
Bea was an artist and a seamstress. She loved her family and rendezvousing all over the country with “Cotton”.
Bea is survived by her brother, Les (Deb) Fike; stepsons, James (Jana) Volrath, Joseph Volrath, Thomas (Carol) Volrath; stepdaughter, Lynnette Ackerman; grandchildren, Tony, Norman, Danielle, Justin, Bryce, Michael, Mary, Mandy, Robert, David, Adam, and Grace; great-grandchildren, Cole, Colton, Dylan, Isabella, Emily, Aydan, Andrea, Sabrina, Hue, Emma, Easton, Tucker, Emmett, Lauren, James and Charlie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. “Cotton” Volrath; parents, Carroll and Esther; brother, Robert; sisters, Anna and Caroline; and stepson, Mic.
Per Bea’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.Family Life Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
