Sanderson Field Airport in Sault Ste. Marie has two fun, family-friendly events this weekend, Oct. 4 and Oct. 5.
The 8th Annual Movie in a Hanger takes place Friday starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $5.
2023 'Migration' is the feature film. 'Migration' is about the Mallards, a duck family living in a quaint pond.
Mack Mallard (the father duck) loves this quiet pond and teaches his family to never leave the pond because it may be dangerous. One day a group of ducks migrating to Jamaica invites them along. Gwen, Dax (the children ducks) and Pam Mallard (the mother duck) all want to explore. However, Mack condescendingly declines the duck’s offer.
Before the movie begins, starting at 5:30 p.m., several local first responders will be on-site with their vehicles.
The event is open to all ages. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks.
Then from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Soo Pilots Association is sponsoring aerial fall color tours above the Sault Ste. Marie area. The tour lasts around 20 minutes and costs $25.
