Senator Debbie Stabenow released the following statement after the U.S. Senate passed the Continuing Resolution to fund the government for 45 days.
“The uncertainty of a government shutdown has been stressful for so many Americans who would have been impacted. And it has been totally unnecessary! I am relieved that the House and the Senate have passed a bipartisan 45 day extension of services. But I am deeply concerned that this resolution did not keep our commitment to Ukraine. We also need to act to continue critical food assistance for moms and babies through WIC. Much to do in the next 45 days!”
