U.P. OUTDOOR SUMMIT

Registration is now open for the first annual U.P. Outdoor Summit.
Hosted by ORIAN and in collaboration with CUPPAD and Innovate Marquette, the event will take place on May 16, at Innovation Hall in the Jacobetti Complex at Northern Michigan University. This event will bring together outdoor enthusiasts, industry leaders, and innovators to explore the future of outdoor recreation in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
The U.P. Outdoor Summit is designed to inspire collaboration, showcase innovation, and provide valuable networking opportunities. Attendees can expect keynote presentations, outdoor innovation demos, insightful discussions, and expert-led research presentations. The day will conclude with a networking reception and post-event happy hour to continue the conversation.
Full Event Schedule:
- Pre-event outdoor activity meetups - 7:30 to 9 a.m.
- Registration and coffee hour - 9 to 10 a.m.
- Welcome remarks - 10:05 to 10:15 a.m.
- Keynote presentations - 10:15 to 11 a.m.
- Outdoor recreation innovation growth strategy (ORIGS) presented by TIP Strategies - 11 a.m. to noon
- Lunch and networking with outdoor vendors - noon to 1 p.m.
- Open space panel: Preparing for the future of outdoor recreation - 1 to 2 p.m.
- Electrified trails feasibility study presented by UPland - 2 to 3 p.m.
- Demos and networking reception - 3 to 4 p.m.
- Post-event happy hour at Ore Dock Brewing - 5 to 7 p.m.
