DETROIT – More than 4,750 Delta employees who reside in Michigan will share in almost $114 million later this week during the airline’s annual Profit Sharing Day – aptly falling on Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day.
Last year, Delta paid out $110 million to Michigan-based Delta employees. Eligible employees across Delta receive an estimated payout of 10% of their eligible earnings, representing an average five weeks in additional pay.
Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport near Detroit serves as Delta Air Lines' second-largest hub, after its headquarters in Atlanta. Delta also serves 11 other airports in Michigan and more cities in the Great Lakes State than any other carrier. More than 22.7 million passengers were served in Michigan in 2023.

Over the last decade, Delta has distributed more than $10 billion in profit sharing, underscoring the company’s unwavering commitment to the people who help make it what it is.
