NEWS RELEASE
PARKER FAIRBAIRN

HARBOUR SPRINGS – Harbor Springs native, Parker Fairbairn, announced his candidacy to represent Michigan’s 107th House District today. The district includes Emmet and Charlevoix counties and parts of Mackinac, Chippewa and Cheboygan counties.
“For five generations, my family has lived and worked here, making it more than a town where I reside, but rather my family’s history. Throughout the years, I’ve learned from my parents and grandparents as they built small businesses and became active members in the community. They instilled northern Michigan values in me and grew my passion for protecting those values. I am excited for the opportunity to be the district’s next state representative, so that I can continue to defend what we believe in and create opportunities for growth in our community.”
Fairbairn, a lifelong resident of Harbor Springs, is 22-years old and views his youth as an asset. He attended Harbor Springs High School and later Northwood University. Fairbairn is continuing to seek an MBA from Northwood.
“As a young candidate, I will provide new blood with fresh ideas that will spur economic growth, stop the Governor’s unconstitutional power grab, and protect the backbone of our economy, our small businesses. And frankly, the truth is, we can’t make changes without engaging the community’s next generation of leaders – and I know just how to do that.”
Fairbairn’s campaign is focused on ethics, policies that promote business opportunities, and protecting our second amendment rights, the unborn, law enforcement and elections. He will fight for world-class healthcare resources, advocate for veterans’ rights, and create expanded opportunities for vocational education in schools.
“We are proud to live in one of the country’s most unique areas. The quaint, small town feel of our municipalities and our northern Michigan values are unlike anywhere else. If given the opportunity, I will work endlessly to preserve our way of life while also expanding the economic environment that spurs growth. That means better paying jobs for residents and less burdensome regulations. I look forward to earning your vote.”
