Man, 38, arrested on M-115 for possession of methamphetamine, state police say

WEXFORD COUNTY - On Jan. 30, at approximately 1:40 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac Post stopped a vehicle on M-115 near North Blvd. in Cadillac for several violations. The driver of the vehicle, 38-year-old Anthony Lynn Schwartz from Tustin, was found to be in possession of a clear plastic baggie containing a white crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Schwartz was placed under arrest and lodged in the Wexford County Jail.

Schwartz was arraigned last week in the 84th District Court in Wexford County on one count Possession of Methamphetamine Second or Subsequent Offense, and Habitual Offender Fourth Offense Notice. He was given a $50,000 cash surety bond. His next scheduled court appearance is on Feb. 18, at 2:00 p.m.
