Music in the Park 2023 season lineup

The 2023 Music in the Park Summer Concert Series is scheduled for every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Soo Locks Park, kicking things off with the traditional country and folk sounds of Gentleman George on June 21.

“We are excited for this year’s lineup," Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Director Stephanie Sprecker said. "We worked hard to bring in a few new acts along with the fan favorites from prior years. We have a great mix of music and hope that everyone comes downtown and enjoys an evening of shopping and dining before heading down to the Soo Locks Park to watch the concerts.”

The 2023 Music in the Park lineup is as followed:

June 21 — Gentleman George: Traditional country, folk, and original songs

June 28 — Soo Theatre: Season highlights and classics performed by its singers and orchestra

July 5 — Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Band: Playing all of Gordon Lightfoot's very best

July 12 — Petoskey Steel Drum Band: Caribbean and contemporary sounds

July 19 — Seth Brown Duo: Original music inspired through travel across the US

July 26 — Dixon's Violin: World renowned one-man symphony

Aug. 2 — Melissa Lee Zenker: Nashville celebrity returns home to play

Aug. 9 ­­— Dominic Fortuna: Northern Michigan Entertainer of the Year performs for the Sault

Aug. 16 — Night of Native Music: Native American music

Aug. 23 — Pub Runners: Irish folk and sing along songs

Central Savings Bank (CSB) has selected Music in the Park as its June Community Matters segment winner.

"If you love attending our concerts or would just like to show your support, please consider donating," Sprecker said. "This series is funded exclusively through sponsorships and donations."

CSB will match all donations up to $5,000.

Music in the Park Sponsors included: Original Soo Locks Boat Tours, CSB, Sault Ste.
