Sault Area Public Schools is back in session for the 2022/23 school year as of Tuesday, Sept. 6.
"I am super excited for the start of another school year," said Sault Area Middle School Principal Jessica Rondeau. "Students were here this morning, bright and bushy tailed. We are ready to start another successful year."
Assistant Principal William Schomberg will assist Principal Rondeau in managing the junior high school.
Lincoln Elementary School welcomed Principal Carl McCready to the school today. This is McCready's first year supervising elementary age students. He met with students outside prior to rounding them up for class this morning.
Principal Sheri McFarlane will oversee Washington Elementary School.
Sault Area High School and Career Center will be run by Principal Jeanine Sherman, Assistant Principal Scott Menard, Athletic Director Patrick Bennin, and Career Center Director Jo Anne Lussier.
Principal Sandy Sawyer will look after Malcolm High School's alternative education staff and students.
The special education department will be under the direction of Sheri McFarlane.
Barb Light is this year's director of student achievement.
Superintendent and HR Director Amy Scott Kronemeyer was seen greeting students at Sault Area Middle School. She was pleased to introduce the district's new student resource officer, Sault Ste. Marie Poilce Officer Trevor Adkins.
