The American Legion Post 3 Auxiliary and Legion Riders spent much of Saturday on the roadways of Chippewa and Luce counties for their Annual Toy Fun Run Fundraiser.
The riders started and ended at Post 3 in Sault Ste. Marie. In between, they made stops at the Cozy Corners in Barbeau, the Brickyard in Rudyard, the Buckhorn in Trout Lake, Legion Post #74 in Newberry, Legion Post #393 in Hulbert, Strongs Bar in Strongs, and the Cozy Inn in Brimley.
Even though Christmas is over three months away, organizers say it's never too early to get a jump on events like this.
"There's a lot of kids around that probably wouldn't get nothing," said Rod Liddell, Vietnam War Veteran. "We get out early and make the rounds."
All toys will be distributed locally in Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac counties just in time for Christmas.
"It's been really good! It's been good for the Legion, it's good for the people, it's a big event. We think it's a big event. We like to get everybody to ride their motorcycles." Liddell said.
If you would like to help out, you can drop off any new unwrapped toy at any of the above locations.
