$28K raised at 2023 Betsy’s Rotary Game Show Extravaganza

The 2023 Betsy’s Rotary Game Show Extravaganza raised approximately $27,840 in its tenth year, bringing 297 community members together to compete for prizes at Kewadin Casinos Dream Makers Theatre Saturday evening. 

“We are super excited with how well the community supports this event,” Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie member Barbara Hampton said. “We have over 50 sponsors.”

The night’s biggest winner claimed $8,000. The second largest prize give-away was in the amount of $1,000. More than 500 prizes were handed out to game show participants. 

Betsy’s Rotary Game Show Extravaganza was emceed by Mark SanAngelo and Allison Miller of Sovereign Communications, featuring games like Let’s Make a Deal, Flying Animals, Last Man Standing, Plinko, 100 Prizes, Minute to Win It, Prize Wheel, PLUS Three Chances to Win a New Car, One Chance to Win a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, and  Do You Have? 

Proceeds collected from the game show will be put towards building a pavilion and bathrooms at Rotary Park.

“To date, we have raised over $240,000 at this event,” Hampton said. “The rotary club wants to say how great and wonderful the community is for sponsoring this event. Thank you to everybody who participated.”

Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie’s next big event is the Flickinger Rotary Raffle. There will be 400 prizes given out to 400 event ticket owners. Participants could win up to $1,000. 

The Flickinger Rotary Raffle typically raises around $10,000.
