James Kamal Itani is now lodged in the Chippewa County Jail in Sault Ste. Marie after being cleared medically from a downstate hospital after suffering gunshot wounds last week in Bruce Township as police went to arrest him.
Itani faces charges of Possession of a Firearm in Commission of Crime, Assault with Intent to Murder and Arson.
He awaits arraignment later this morning in District Court in Sault Ste. Marie.
