CRAWFORD COUNTY — On Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m. a trooper from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Houghton Lake Post stopped a vehicle north bound on I-75 near 4 Mile Road in Grayling Township for an equipment violation. The trooper observed both the driver and passenger engaged in erratic movement, rapid speech, and nervous behavior. The driver, 51-year-old William Earl Watson from Sault Sainte Marie, and the passenger, 49-year-old Jennifer Irene Vincent from Sault Sainte Marie, had conflicting stories of where they were coming from. Further investigation revealed Vincent to be in possession of two “eight balls” of suspected methamphetamine weighing approximately 57 grams. Watson was found to be in possession of a small bundle of suspected methamphetamine in his coat pocket. The trooper also located syringes and a scale inside the vehicle. Both subjects were lodged in the Crawford County Jail.
Vincent was arraigned last week in the 46th District Court in Crawford County on one Delivery Methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $35,000 cash surety. Her next scheduled court appearance is on March 11, 2025, at 2 p.m.
