Lori Elizabeth Wilding (MacInnis), age 62, of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, passed away on March 7, 2024, after a lengthy battle with polycystic kidney disease. She was born on October 3, 1961, to the late Neil and Joan (Synett) MacInnis in Sault Ste Marie.

In August 1986, Lori married her husband and life partner, Randall Brent Wilding. In 1996, they opened the Checkered Flag Party Store in Sault Ste. Marie after Lori's many years as a bartender at The Downtowner. Lori and Brent ran Checkered Flag for the next decade until Lori's illness became too much in 2020.

Lori was an avid animal lover before starting her business; she and Brent cared for three horses, six dogs, and five barn cats. Lori's love for dogs continued throughout her life. Lori leaves behind her two loving companions, Bailey and Harmony, who were by her side the last ten years.

Lori was also a football (Dallas Cowboys) and NASCAR fan (Tony Stewart). She enjoyed spending time at camp with her husband Brent, Son Wade and Niece Jennifer, and her niece's husband Ryan. She will be greatly missed.

Lori is survived by her husband, Brent; Son, Wade (Megan); her "adopted son", Doug (Nicole) Alexander; grand-dogs, Dodge, Colt, and Sammi, and her dogs, Bailey and Harmony.

Lori is preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Joan, and Brother, Michael Joseph MacInnis.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Chippewa County Animal Shelter in her memory.
