Kathleen Anne (Mensik) Pianosi, age 71, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie, after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born on November 26, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edward and Helen (LoCigno) Mensik.
Kathy loved drawing, writing, shopping and traveling.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Randy; and daughter, Melissa Pianosi of Sault Ste. Marie.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen; and brother, Reggie Mensik.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 606 E. 4th Ave., Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. The Mass Service will follow at 11:00 AM.
Kathy’s final resting place will be at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, a donation in Kathy’s memory to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 2000 Town Center Suite 1730, Southfield, MI 48075, would be appreciated.
