Brian James Alford, age 44, died on Friday, January 16, 2025, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born on February 28, 1980, in Sault Ste. Marie to Kevin and Cynthia (Stevenson) Alford.
Brian grew up and graduated from Sault High School with the Class of 1998. He worked at the Maloney’s Bar as a bartender for many years and most recently worked for Lake Superior State University as Assistant Food Director.
Brian’s passion was cooking, and he enjoyed making unique dishes to try for family and friends. He was known to be adventurous and even went sky diving. Brian liked to watch sports and was a fan of the Detroit Lions and the Michigan State Spartan’s.
Brian is survived by his children, Quinn, Cullen and Sawyer Alford; father, Kevin Alford; and brother, Paul (Kaami) Alford; nephew, Leif Alford all of Sault Ste. Marie; and many aunts, uncle, and cousins.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Spring/Summer of 2025.
Brian’s final resting place will be Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township, .
