SAULT CITY YOUTH WRESTLING

Several Sault City Youth Wrestlers punched their tickets to the MYWAY State Championships over the weekend, competing at their regional tournament in Indian River. All wrestlers who placed 1st through 4th, move onto MYWAY States.
MYWAY Far North Regional results.
Myles Browning 0-1 (2nd), Easton Anderson 1-1 (2nd), Ryder Browning 1-2 (4th), Logan Lowther 3-1 (3rd), Dominic Branam 2-2 (5th), Micah Smith 1-1 (3rd), Emmett Rogers 2-1 (2nd), Braedyn Hering 1-2 (5th), Jack Lowther 2-0 (1st), Joshua Klier 4-1 (2nd), Jackson Minta 1-0 (1st), Jacob Kiekhaefer 3-0 (1st), Daniel Laitinen 1-3 (6th), Carson Browning bye (1st), Levi Hudson 1-2 (3rd), Charlie Freeborn 0-1 (2nd), and \Elliot Povey 0-2 (4th).
Also qualifying for the MYWAY Girls State Championships are; Alessa Eldred, Vernetta King, Juanita King, Talia Klozotsky, and Aubrie Donakowski.
This weekend our wrestlers will travel to the Newberry Youth Wrestling Tournament as well as prepare for States in Kalamazoo starting March 20th.
Sault Youth Wrestling (501c3) promotes and supports the sport of youth wrestling in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan at all levels as defined by MYWAY and/or NEMWA and the age levels associated with those organizations. Our goals are to develop amateur athletes for competition, serve as a support for the wrestling sport in all Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan schools and promote good sportsmanship, give instruction in strong fundamental competitive wrestling skills, promote, and develop a good competitive spirit, develop a cohesive team unit and promote friendship and respect for others, among wrestlers and others.
