The boy's high school basketball season started up in the Eastern U.P. Monday evening with international flavor as the Blue Devils of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. battled the Knights from St. Mary's College in Sault Ste Marie, Ont.
The Blue Devils got off to a quick start in the first quarter which dictated the theme for the rest of the game.
They led 18-5 after the first quarter and 26-10 at half time. The Blue Devils kept the Knights at bay during the second half winning 57-36.
High scorer for the Blue Devils was Dominic Haller with 15 points. The Knights were led by Jaidan Trudeau with 8 points.
