While at the Pickford School Monday night, for a presentation to parents, Chippewa County Sheriff Michael Bitnar received a gift.
The cybersecurity class presented him with a large TV mount that will be used in the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office Command Center trailer.
The mount will hold a new flat screen TV that will be used by search and rescue for mapping and also as a live feed for drone pilots and searchers.
The sheriff’s office gave drone demonstrations to the class earlier in the year.
During the event, the future improvements to the program were discussed.
“Mrs. (Patty) Meehan then came up with the idea to help and make this purchase,” said Bitnar on his department’s Facebook page.
“This will be a huge help for our Office. Thank you to the Pickford cybersecurity class and Mrs. Patty Meehan. I had a great time last night.”
