An FM radio station in the Sault that played country music for years has changed formats to rock.
On Thursday, Country 104.3 posted on its Facebook page about the change. The station is owned by Rogers Media in Toronto.
"Country 104.3 is now 104.3 The Fox, the Sault's rock station," said the post, which promises to play Canadian content like the Tragically Hip, Rush and others.
Listeners who still want to listen to country music were directed in the post to Country 600, an AM station out of North Bay that is available in the Sault through internet apps like Seekr or through connected smart speakers.
Country 105, which is operated by Sovereign Communications in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., is still available for country lovers on the FM dial.
