Soo Theatre is seeking performers ages 10 to 18 to star in its upcoming 2023 spring musical, Matilda Jr.
Open auditions are happening today and tomorrow.
Matilda is a highly intelligent child with telekinetic abilities. She feels misunderstood by her brother and parents. Excited to start school, she encounters a rather unkind principal. Matilda meets new friends, along with an understanding teacher. But she will not be happy until she settles the score.
The musical will be performed May 18 and 19th at 7 p.m. and May 20 at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Soo Theatre auditions for Matilda Jr. will take place Monday, March 20 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Tuesday, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
