MyMichigan Sault union nurses inducted into MI Nurses Hall of Fame

They were given the award for their victory through collective bargaining earlier this year with MyMichigan administration

MyMichigan Medical Center Sault MNA (Michigan Nurses Association) union nurses were recently inducted into the Michigan Nurses Hall of Fame for their victory through collective bargaining earlier this year with MyMichigan's administration.

A new contract was ratified in June after several months of negotiations.

According to a release by the MNA, in part it says:

"Members across the MNA stand united in thanking and congratulating the Soo nurses for their hard-won success. Their activism, courage and unwavering dedication have earned them the respect and admiration of nurses throughout the state. They have shown us what is possible when we stand together, and their victory will serve as an enduring reminder of the strength and influence of nursing professionals. For all of this, they are more than deserving of induction into the Michigan Nurses Hall of Fame."

The nurses were without a contract from January through June.
