LSSU men's basketball team advances in NCAA Div. 2 tournament

The #2 seed Lakers have beaten #7 seed Lincoln (MO.) and #3 seed Michigan Tech to advance to Tuesday's game against #4 seed Missouri-St. Louis.

The LSSU Men's basketball team continues to advance in the NCAA Div. 2 tournament.

The Lake Superior State University's men's basketball team continues to make noise in the 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament by advancing to play the #4 seed Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) Tritons in the regional final Tuesday at 8 p.m.

The #2 seed Lakers have beaten #7 seed Lincoln (MO.) and #3 seed Michigan Tech to advance to Tuesday's game.

Against Michigan Tech Sunday, the Lakers got down a quick 2-0 to the Huskies but after that, Coach Steve Hettinga's squad took control and won 83-73.

Adam Harakow led all players in scoring with a career-high 31 points while also securing a game-high eight rebounds. Meanwhile, Tyson Edmondson put together a strong performance with 22 points of his own. Devin Womack also finished in double figures with 11.

There will be a free watch party for Tuesday's game at the Cisler Center on the campus of LSSU.  

Parking is available on the north side of the Cisler Center.
