"Silver bells, silver bells....
It's Christmas time in the city...."
Ahhh...the classic Bing Crosby song. One of the many favorites to hear this time of year!
It's the perfect song to have playing in your head when you participate in the 'Silver Bells in the City' Scavenger Hunt in Sault Ste. Marie.
For the next week and a half, until Jan. 1, silver bells, along with associated clues, will be posted outside of six different historical sites.
By using the city's Facebook page, you can figure out exactly where the silver bells are at.
Once you uncover all the clues and figure out the final message, you email the answer to [email protected].
This is the third year that the event has taken place.
City recreation coordinator Trisha Kiczenski says it's a fun time for families.
"It started during the pandemic. It's something people could get out and do individually but then also share as a community. We have a lot of interest, so people are happy to see it back. We already have it posted on the city's Facebook page."
There are many prizes donated by local businesses.
"A few hundred people participated in the last couple of years. It's fun for everyone!" Kiczenski added.
Take pictures of you and your family next to the Silver Bells, post them and tag #SSMbellhunt. Please do not remove the Silver Bells from clue locations. All Silver Bells will be located outside of the historic clue location.
Prizes will be announced Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023!
