The number of vehicles crossing the International Bridge last year was up 14.3 per cent compared to the year before.
In a news release, the International Bridge Administration says there were 1,109,831 one-way traffic crossings in 2024.
It adds 78,543 of those crossings took place in December, an increase of 0.2 per cent from the same month in 2023.
Commuter fares represented 52.5 per cent of those crossings, while 40.9 per cent were full-fare passenger cars.
The December 2024 numbers at a glance are:
- Full-Fare Passenger Cars: 32,134 (5.4 per cent decrease)
- Commuter Fare: 41,198 (5.1 per cent increase)
- Cars Pulling Trailers: 551 (36.4 per cent increase)
- Commercial Trucks: 4,660 (2.9 per cent decrease)
The bridge has processed 106.5 million bridge crossings since 1962.
