The annual U.P. Hosted by ORIAN, in collaboration with the MI Outdoor Summit, CUPPAD, Innovate Marquette, and more, the U.P. Outdoor Recreation Summit is held in Marquette in late spring.

“The U.P. Outdoor Summit is a testament to years of dedicated collaboration, expert research, and a shared vision for strengthening our regional outdoor economy,” said Joe Thiel, CEO of Innovate Marquette and chairman of ORIAN. “Through initiatives like ORIAN, we have worked tirelessly alongside regional partners, industry experts, and community leaders to position the Upper Peninsula as a hub for outdoor recreation and innovation. Our efforts have been validated at the regional, state, and national levels, thanks to support from the Michigan Outdoor Fund, USDA, and EDA. This May, we are bringing together key stakeholders, businesses, and policymakers to highlight the progress we’ve made and to chart the course for the future of outdoor recreation in the U.P.”
