CEDARVILLE – Great Lakes Boat Building School is proud to announce ongoing support from Ilmor Engineering. Through their generous donations of engines, equipment, and field trip opportunities, Ilmor is helping to fuel the next generation of marine professionals.

Ilmor Engineering Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance engines, recently donated a 6.0L MPI engine to GLBBS. This powerful and reliable engine is designed to provide exceptional performance and durability for recreational marine applications. The donation will provide students in both the Marine Service Technology (MST) and Comprehensive Career Boat Building (CCBB) programs with new training opportunities. The engine will also assist the CCBB program with the hands-on component of their Ilmor Custom Repower Certification, offered jointly by GLBBS and Ilmor.

In addition to helping advance students' education through their equipment donations, Ilmor has visited the school to offer training and certifications that were previously only available at their North Carolina facility. Ilmor also hosted a group of instructors and students from GLBBS last year at their headquarters in Plymouth, Michigan. Students had resoundingly positive feedback about the experience.

"We are incredibly grateful for Ilmor's support and commitment to our students," said Nikki Storey, President of GLBBS. "This partnership has opened doors for our students and helped them develop the skills and knowledge by training with the types of equipment they will encounter throughout their marine careers."
