SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Action Agency is proud to announce the completion of its new Superior Haven Emergency Shelter units, providing a critical resource for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

With final inspections passed and move-in preparations underway, CLMCAA is seeking community partners to help ensure these units are fully stocked and ready to serve those in need.

“These shelter units represent hope, stability, and a fresh start for those who have nowhere else to turn,” said Joe Nolan, Executive Director of CLMCAA. “We are grateful for the partnerships and community support that have made this possible, and we invite businesses and individuals to join us in ensuring these units are ready to serve those in crisis.”

To maximize impact and efficiency, CLMCAA has established sponsorship levels that allow donors to directly support the program without the need to purchase and drop off physical items. Sponsorship contributions will enable staff to purchase exactly what is needed—bedding, kitchen supplies, personal hygiene products, and other essentials—ensuring that every dollar goes toward creating a safe and welcoming space for those in crisis.

"At Nirvana Cannabis, we believe in supporting the communities we serve by fostering hope and positive change," said Kendra Eldred, General & District Manager at Nirvana Cannabis. "Superior Haven provides a critical lifeline for individuals and families in need, and we are honored to contribute to such an essential program. Ensuring that everyone has access to a safe, welcoming space during times of crisis aligns with our core values, and we are proud to stand alongside Community Action in making a difference."
