Dafter Township Fire Department has been awarded a grant of $4,800 from CN to bolster its firefighting resources. This grant specifically targets the acquisition of a wildland firefighting pump, empowering the department to further enhance its capabilities. This new pump will also be able to assist with remote water supply
drafting operations.

CN is the tradename for Canadian National Railway Company (CNR) and its operating railroad subsidiaries.

This vital funding from CN underscores the corporation's commitment to supporting local emergency response initiatives. The grant enables the Dafter Township Fire Department to procure essential equipment designed to enhance their operational readiness in managing wildland fires effectively.

Chief Austin Conway expressed gratitude for the grant, stating, "We are incredibly grateful to CN for their generous support. This grant will significantly enhance our firefighting capabilities, allowing us to better protect our community and respond more effectively to a wide variety of incidents. This equipment will be invaluable in our efforts to safeguard lives and property."
