The Chippewa County Community Foundation (CCCF), in partnership with Bird's Eye Outfitters, are excited to bring you the 5th Annual Riverfest on Saturday at Rotary Park in Sault Ste. Marie.
Sault Riverfest celebrates the Sault Ste. Marie area as an amazing playground for paddling and outdoor recreation on the beautiful waterways.
Steve Habusta, of the CCCF, is excited about this year's Riverfest.
"Riverfest is an opportunity for local families to celebrate life on the St. Mary's River. And for people to explore the great natural recreation opportunities our area offers," Habusta said.
While this event is not about making a profit, Habusta emphasizes that it's about community support and involvement that makes it so special.
"At this point, the event really amounts to a break even event for us. We are thankful for many sponsors, especially local businesses who have committed year after year to bring this event to our community. We have anywhere from 20-30 volunteers to help make our event run smoothly," added Habusta.
There are a wide range of events and games for just about all ages. And it keeps getting better every year.
"Riverfest has made some great improvements and brought in new events to really give families something fun to do with their children as well as provide opportunities for outdoor recreational enthusiasts to explore our beautiful outdoors," Habusta said.
