The following was issued by the City of Sault Ste.Marie this morning

Street Crews have been working around the clock to keep our City streets clear and accessible.

The continued accumulation coupled with the blowing and drifting has made it very challenging.

Please stay off the roads, if possible, as the current conditions will make travel very difficult.

The National Weather Service issued this report for today (Monday Jan. 10)

..WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow and blowing snow. Additional snow
accumulations of 3 to 5 inches. Gusty winds will result in areas
  of blowing snow.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow
will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
will impact the morning and evening commute. The cold wind
chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia if

your vehicle in case of an emergency.
