OTSEGO COUNTY - On Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 at approximately 10:25 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Gaylord Post were called to a residence on Harvey Drive in Hayes Township for a trespassing complaint. The caller stated a woman, 45-year-old Tanya Lynn Washburn from Vanderbilt, and her friend, a 23-year-old woman from Gaylord, would not leave his property. Washburn was there to pick up some items from the residence and was refusing to leave.

Troopers spoke with Washburn and the driver of the vehicle. The driver had a warrant for failure to appear for a traffic violation in Roscommon County. Both occupants had open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle. Washburn was in possession of a glass pipe along with a small plastic bag containing methamphetamine. The driver was issued a citation for open intoxicants in a vehicle and released from the scene. Washburn was arrested and lodged in the Otsego County Jail.

Washburn was arraigned yesterday in the 87-A District Court in Otsego County on one count Possession Methamphetamine and one count Open Intoxicants in a Vehicle. Her bond was set at $10,000 cash surety. Her next scheduled court appearance is on Jan. 23, 2025 at 10 a.m.
