Cadilac man facing drug charges after Selma Township traffic stop

The 29-year-old was charged after police say they found clear plastic baggies that contained substances that tested positive for drugs

On Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at approximately 8:15 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac Post stopped a vehicle on M-115 near S 29 RD in Selma Township for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old Cole Dennis Sapp from Cadillac, was found to be in possession of clear plastic baggies containing a white crystal substance. The substances tested positive for cocaine and methamphetamine. Sapp was placed under arrest and lodged in the Wexford County Jail.

Sapp was arraigned in the 84th District Court in Wexford County on one count Possession of Methamphetamine, and one count Possession Cocaine less than 25 grams. He was given a $25,000 cash surety bond. His next scheduled court appearance is on Nov. 5, 2024, at 2 p.m.
