EMMET COUNTY - A cottage owner reported two bicycles were stolen from their property at Bay View Association in Bear Creek Township on Oct. 3, 2024.
A neighbor called the property owner to report they saw an unknown man, approximately six feet or more in height, medium build, with short reddish hair pull up next to the cottage and place the bicycles in the back of his truck. He then sped away heading north on US-31. The neighbor was able to take photographs of the suspect vehicle, which is a 1995 red Ford F-250 with a black topper. It had a Wisconsin registration plate of 183927A. The vehicle’s registration history indicates the vehicle may have been sold by the Wisconsin owner and never retitled.
