Kelly “Curly” Anne Kemp, age 61, of Rudyard, Michigan, died at her home on July 3, 2024. She was born on January 12, 1963, in St. Ignace, Michigan, to Leo Ervin and Margaret Eileen Sylvester Kemp.

Kelly was a member of the Rudyard Presbyterian Church in Rudyard, Michigan, and was also a member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Kelly loved spending time with her family and many friends and loved to socialize. She was well known by everyone in Rudyard and the surrounding areas. If Kelly didn’t remember someone’s name, she could tell you where they worked! She enjoyed going to the casino, restaurants, watching old game shows, reading People Magazine, watching black and white TV shows, and listening to Elvis Presley, old Christmas music, and country music. She knew all the words to most songs and knew who sang it.

 

Kelly is survived by her sister, Cindy Kemp of Rudyard; brother, Larry (Jennifer) Kemp of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; niece, Kimberly (Kelly) Macy; nephews, Larry (Vanessa) Kemp, and Brandon Kemp; many beloved great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews.

 

Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Margaret; and niece, Jillian Kemp.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 12:30 PM, with Services at 2:00 PM, at Family Life Funeral Homes, 24549 S. M-129, Pickford, Michigan with a burial to follow.

 

Final Resting Place will be at the Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township, Michigan.
