Verne Duane Izzard, age 86, of Pickford, Michigan, died on July 4, 2024, at his home. He was born on March 18, 1938, in Pickford to Nelson and Fannie (Vincent) Izzard.

Verne is survived by his wife, Marjean; son, Duane; daughters, Susie Colosky, and Patti (Robin) Williams; grandchildren, Darin (Emily) Izzard-Bawks, Bradley Bawks, Curtis (Jade) Bawks, Amber (James) Johnson, Stacy (Dillon Hillock) Colosky, Timothy (Jessi) Williams, Michelle (Jody) Pitre and Brian (Bethany) Williams; great-grandchildren, Krystale, Ceanna and Tegan Williams, Madelyn Izzard-Bawks, and Curtis Jr. and Carson Bawks; brother, Charles (Margaret) Izzard; and several nieces and nephews.
Verne was preceded in death by daughters, Nancy Ann and Cindy Lou; son, William; parents, Nelson and Fannie; siblings, Caroline (Oliver) Nelson, Claude (Eleanor) Izzard, Russell (Bernice) Izzard, Wesley Izzard and Carl Izzard; son-in-law, Bill Colosky; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Roland) McCready; in-laws, Carl (Beatrice) Lockhart; and several nieces and nephews.
