For those who love the Ulta experience, there will be no need to travel to Marquette or Gaylord anymore.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, Ultra Beauty is having their "soft" Grand Opening at their location at Cascade Crossings sandwiched in between Dunham's Sports and Harbor Freight Tools.
Construction started a few months ago, but it has been in the works for Ulta to come for over a year now
Bee Ellis is the general manager of the store and is excited to open up the doors.
"It's going to be exciting and a long-awaited end of the store open journey. Soft opening will just be opening our doors to the community and giving us an opportunity to learn all those training processes in the moment. Our entire team will be brand new to Ulta. So it will be all about learning to run a well-oiled machine!!! I'm so excited. Grand opening will be Oct 18. We will be running a special discount that weekend only, and lots of Ulta business partners will also be in the store that day. More to come on that special discount," Ellis said.
Ellis said Ulta is much more than just a make-up store.
"Ulta Beauty is wonderful because there is truly something for everyone. We carry big-brand makeup and skincare as well as department-store brands. All varieties and price points from Elf to Mac!! It's so exciting!" Ellis added.
With Ulta opening up, it also brings jobs to the community.
"We will have about 25 permanent employees and I need about 30 temp employees to help set up for two weeks! I will be probably keeping six of those temps through the holiday and offering permanent positions if it works out well," Ellis said.
Ellis is not new to the managerial or business arena.
"I came from Maurices, I was there about 10 years. My background in retail is extensive as I have been in the business for about 23 years. I also have an educational background in fashion design, marketing and business management," Ellis explained.
